Nipper Class

Nipper Karate class which runs twice a week are special designed classes for the four year to six year old.  The main focus of the class is to introduce the concepts of karate in a fun way.  Many of the fun movements and activities are designed to increase the student’s co-ordination; essential for the child’s all round development.  

Classes are kept very small, normally under ten, which allows the teacher time to correct and encourage technique.  Children of this age need their own class as older children’s co-ordination is more advanced making it easier for them to develop at a quicker rate.  Rather the child getting lost in a large class and picking up bad habits we like to make sure the children have good form from the beginning as this makes teaching a lot easier and quicker as the students get older..

 

We teach the importance of respect and self-control and the necessity to listen and to respect their teachers.  Children work through the set syllabus and learn the first kata (form) and from the Nipper Class they graduate up into the Children’s Class.  Some of our best students started from our Nipper Class and it is fantastic to see them develop through the children’s class and in to the adult’s class with outstanding karate skills and confidence that helps them to achieved their goals.(Here to See time tabel for Nipper Class)
