This Study Group is lead by Robbie Smith. Robbie is currently 6th Dan JKF Wado-Kai and holds a 1st kyu Instructors (International) license from the JKF Wado-Kai and is WKF Referee. Robbie has over thirty five active years practicing the martial arts which has taken him to many global destinations, including a five year stay in Taiwan where he spent most of his time immersed in Chinese martial arts – Wing Chun being one of them.
2005, Robbie was introduced to Kaicho Toby Threadgill and in 2006 he travelled to the United States to experience Takamura ha Shindo Yoshin Ryu. Subsequently seminars where arranged for New Zealand from 2007.
December 2008 we were given permission to open a TSYR Study Group which continues to date.
Currently members train during on Saturday Morning from 8am to 11am.
