New Zealand Karate-Do Wado-Kai

The New Zealand Karate-Do Wado-Kai Inc. (NZKW) is a non profit making organization directly affiliated with the JKF Wado-Kai headquarters in Japan which recognizes the NZKW as the Headquarters for Wado-Kai Karate in New Zealand with the Hombu being in Hamilton.

Branch clubs/dojos are also directly affiliated to the JKF Wado-Kai Japan and the national body Karate New Zealand (UNZKO). The NZKW teaches Wado Karate according to the standards set by the JKF Wado-Kai technical committee.

 

‘Yoshin Wadokan’ - Hamilton Wado-Kai Karate Club Inc.

Hamilton Wado-Kai Karate Club Inc. is registered directly with the national body (Karate NZ UNZKO) and the JKF Wado Kai in Japan (Affiliation). Yoshin Wadokan, which was named by Hakoishi Sensei 8th Dan, in March 2005 means ‘The Hall of cultivation of the mind and heart through the study for peace and harmony’, see our history.

Our style of karate is Wado which is one the four main styles that the World Karate Federation recognizes. The non-threatening atmospheres of our classes are divided into grades and ages.

We follow the structured syllabus of the NZKW, which is divided into adult and junior levels.
